SOUK OF ZINA IN ZAMBIA
A Concerned Brother from Zambia writes:
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.
I write this as a concerned servant of Allāh Ta’āla from Lusaka, Zambia.
Over the past few years, a Souk famously known as the “Fallsway market” has been introduced by our Muslim brethren.
It is quite similar to the infamous Al Ansaar souk of Durban.
It is held every few months and extends till late night. At present it is being planned to be held on the 11th of September.
This event is characterised by a host of evils amongst others, the open intermingling of males and females, indecent dressing and a general environment full of Zina and immorality.
It has also come to my attention that as the event is fully packed, there are occurrences where bodies of opposite genders touch/rub against one another.
The immorality present at this event is unparalleled and one brother has very aptly mentioned that if you want to see the “beauties” of Lusaka then visit this event.
Many who erred by attending this event and have now Alhamdulilah made tawbah have testified to the filth present on this event.
Stalls are mostly run by females, however attendees consist of both males and females. At the stalls there is unimaginable interaction between males and females.
Many women who host such stalls justify their attendance with filmsy excuses not understanding that their standing behind stalls is analogous to the cashiers in pick n pay and other such stores in the shopping centres against whom they make comparisons to justify their actions.
No woman with an iota of modesty would ever think of standing as a cashier in these shops however our womenfolk fail to realise that they are doing the very same thing here.
They look at non mahram male customers, chit chat with them, flaunt their beauty etc while completely ignoring the command of Allah Ta’ala for insignificant material gain.
Unfortunately many womenfolk have misunderstood the concept of purdah and are thus misusing the cloak and niqaab which was supposed to conceal their beauty for their own satanic endeavours.
In conclusion this event is a breeding ground for zina. It is impossible for even the most pious to protect his/her eyes from zina. It is bringing the divine wrath of Allah Ta’ala for which the entire community is having to bear the brunt.
In light of the above we request Hadhrat to advise the muslim community and request duas for the guidance of all.

What advice can be offered to people who are cursed by Allah Azza Wa Jal? Those participating the Souk of Zina where so much immorality, fisq and fujoor prevail, are no longer capable of understanding advice. In the words of the Qur’aan Majeed, they are “deaf, dumb and blind.” In fact they have effaced their Imaan.
People of valid Imaan are not in need of naseehat and advice to understand that adultery, fisq and fujoor are haraam, and their perpetrators are mal-oon (accursed). There should be no surprise whatsoever when the Athaab of Allah Azza Wa Jal will apprehend these communities who indulge so flagrantly and blatantly in the worst kinds of immorality. Worse is their attitude of happy acceptance and their belief that the deluge of filth, fisq and fujoor in which they are drowning is halaal.
The satanic and flagrant indulgence in fisq and fujoor is the sign of Allah’s impending Athaab. The dark clouds of Athaab will suddenly erupt. It will then be too late for tears and taubah. As for the silent molvis who condone the fisq and fujoor with their silence and some with even participation, the Qur’aan Majeed states:
“Beware of such a Punishment which will overtake not only the transgressors among you.”
The Athaab will apprehend the molvis, sheikhs and the buzrugs as well. Their silent condonation of such gross rebellion and treachery against Allah Ta’ala renders these characters worse than the active transgressors. Flagrant and mass perpetration of fisq and fujoor are the surest signs for the Athaab of Allah Ta’ala.
