A number of Muslims from Durban have complained about Jumuah Salaat being conducted at the Hindu-Kuffaar Orient secular school in Durban. One of these Concerned Brothers writes:

“Orient muslim school here in Durban has Jumuah Salah in their school Hall . This same hall is let out and used for haraam activities like wedding/mehndi functions etc , it is also let out to non muslims for their functions where in they bring their Hindu shaytaan statues as well .

Is it permissible to hold the Jumuah Salah in this hall possibly due to the crowd or whatever reason they come up with . There are some ulema in the school which partake in the JumuahSalah, infact the ameer of Jamiat KZN heads the islaamiyat department in the school .This same hall Yaseen Shareef as well is read in in the morning assembly . Your kind response and advice is always appreciated . May Allah shower his choicest blessing on Mufti Saheband protect the Ulama e Haqq , Ameen”

COMMENT OF THE SHARIAH

JUMUAH SALAAT AT THE ORIENT SCHOOL IS NOT VALID. THOSE WHO PERFORM JUMUAH AT THIS HARAAM ABODE SHOULD INCUMBENTLY PERFORM ZUHR SALAAT. THAT IS, IF THEY ARE TOO SPINELESS TO LEAVE THE HARAAM PREMISES TO PERFORM JUMUAH IN A MUSJID.
