What is the Shariah’s definition of zulm (oppression)?

Oppression is one form of zulm. Zulm means misplacement or to misappropriate or use incorrectly. In terms of this definition there are innumerable kinds o zulm. Cruelty is zulm. Violating someone’s rights is zulm. Violating the rights of Allah Ta’ala is zulm Committing sins is zulm on one’s own soul.
